Couple of quid would have been nice on the off chance, though. I remember being off work one Monday because the young'un was sick (the first time he ever threw milk back up for me - lovely) and picking up three quid or so shrapnel from a minimum return on a football perm I do.

Peter Makin had sent one up to the AW on a Monday that had pieces of form and shouldn't have been twelves. Nipped in to the child-friendly (thosedays now sadly gone, of course) independent after we'd been for a circuit (for the air and midday napping time - I get quite nostalgic now I think back for the park run we'd get of a Saturday, snack and a sleep for him, bench and a read for me twenty minutes down the line) and picked up the scraps and threw them on the hoss at EP 12s.

BOG, won 33s. He got shoes and Haribo out of it...
