The jury at Southwark Crown Court found him guilty by an 11-1 majority verdict.

the dodgy cunt still managed to pay one fucker off, I'd like to have been on that jury, the cunt would've have got a good ribbing and I would've written the judge a note suggesting the cunt be prosecuted for voting not guilty.

In his defence after pleading not guilty to making false expenses claims he said he had been told by senior peers it was normal practice to make false expenses claims "in lieu of salary".
