Haven't looked at the Wiki, but I know Mike Denness was subject to what has to be the finest heckle ever because it was done by post.

It was a letter addressed to "Mike Denness, cricketer".

The GPO as they were had a dedicated team of odd address finders and this was a piece of piss to them. They delivered it to the county ground at Chelmsford, IIRC. Denness arrived, picked it up, opened it and inside it had a short note saying "Dear Mike, If you are reading this then the GPO has a far higher opinion of you than I do."

Ted Dexter was born in Milan as well.
