there are NO choices.
but for me?
all i can do is make like a church-choir boy,

am becoming ostracised,
and totally isolated at work.
my own doing.
i just cannot stand the people,
the types that they are.

not their fault.
not mine.
we're just,

different.

trying to just keep my head down,
and do my work,
as quietly,
and as effectively,
as is possible.

i think that it has much to do with my age,
but my working life is becoming a living hell.
and,
because i am in an absolute minority of one,
sooner,
or later,
like some festering boil,
full of puss,
the bubble is going to burst,
and i shall be taking my place upon the shit-pile.

i really don't know what to do,/
how to deal with this.
it seems as though all i can do is sit and wait,
for it all to fall down.
it's the house of cards scenario again.

not a happy,
or tennable,
situation.

looking for hope.
where there is none.
