It throws up some odd comparators.

Geoffrey Hughes, Coronation Street's Eddie Yates and Twiggy in the Royal Family, has a Bacon Number of 3. Which compares directly with murderer of millions and internet meme extraordinaire Adolf Hitler. Surprisingly for a topic involving bacon, celebrity fat cunt Eamonn Holmes also scores three, and 3 is the score for bulldog-faced cup hound and UEFA Cup specialist John Wark.

Candidate for "dead or not" thread and all round mediocre 70s celebrity quiz show regular actor Lance Percival goes one better - a BN of 2, which compares directly with similarly famous for fuck all dead or not candidate Kenny Lynch. So does speccy chanteur Elvis Costello and angry tennis player cum outstanding broadcaster John McEnroe

Englishman in USA who will take a cheque for anything Michael Caine is a multiple 2, but still a 2. The meme started as a centre of the Hollywood universe type thing which is always going to favour second and third names on a bill. As it was an 80s/90s thing, Kevin Bacon was the natural latch for it. He pops up in fucking everything. He's like Kenny Lynch circa 1972.

He's even playing off the game himself to the point that he's now doing a version of it on a mobile phone ad in this country.
