What's In A Name? Empty What's In A Name?

Horses have all sorts of names and they come from any number of sources. Alan Bailey once trained a horse called Jafeica whose name seems exotic but when questioned about it, his owner said "it's an acronym for Just Another Fucking Expense I Can't Afford".

My favourite story though is the Bill Gredley owned Baharlilys, which was seemingly an amalgam of two words. Channel 4 were suitably amused by it being an anagram of Hairy Balls to the point that a furious Bill Gredley buttonholed the team in the parade ring and said "it's an anagram, yes, but it's an amalgam of Billy and Sarah, the head and PA of the Unex group".

So, Hairy Balls it is.
