Lunar eclipse in an hour and scraps from this post, coupled with a super moon (that's not Jonesy saying "all right then, just for you", btw) means you'll see a phenomenon that won't be repeated until 2033.

2033?......I'd have to be 84 to see that one (5000/1 with most leading layers)....I guess I'd better get outside at 2.15 am then.

That was a novel one. Watchd the shadow march across the moon at which point it went red, but if you viewed it through binoculars, you lost the redness but saw it darker but in black and white.

Fantastic clear night here in Clacton.....No light pollution where I am and I used my powerful binoculars....Watched from 2.07am when the eclipse began and by 3.30 am it was a magnificent sight....very red with a silver sliver at the bottom. Looked massive.

Excellent, Tone. My boy demanded to be woken to see it and he wan't disappointed on the third occasion when I got it right...

Couple of days of 5pm/6pm passes visible this week but very much at the end of this series of passes

One straight over London, around five to midnight tonight. If the sky is as it has been, there should be clutches of people in Huntingdonshire and Cumbria who will be worshipping a new God by tomorrow morning.
