That's because I'm not really trying and I'd have set out expecting a "fuck off" anyway. I never understood blokes who went out on the pull (which is in fact something I have never done but I firmly believe my success rate would probably be the same as it is if I had either way - ironically, I'm not governed by my cock and I'm not one to go to auctions either... I do, however, like to play to an audience) thinking they were God's gift. I was always a bloke who could give or take stuff, Eric. I am the archetypal "if I never had it, I won't miss it" bloke. Don't get me wrong, there are days when you think "I have to..." as a psychological/physiological need (usually "have a beer after today" or "sleep for a couple of hours" or even "eat something") but it's very rare and after a day of hellish proportions.

Not a lot fazes me. Can't explain how I'm made up that way but glad that I am. Mate of mine once said that of all of our circle, I was the one she least expected to embrace the family life, house and fatherhood lifestyle. I can see why people might think that but I can also see that if it was going to happen, then I'd just get on with it.
