AJAX of Holland wtf
Fucking crazy that a team may not win the league having scored 102 and only conceded 19?
From a fans perspective it maybe better going on pts for goals instead maybe?

I've always said that we shouldn't bother with points....just let the season's goal difference be the factor.
The current Premiership would be hardly any different. Top 8 would be the same, just need Liverpool and Villa switching round and the bottom three would be the same but in a slightly different order. It's more or less the same for all the English divisions.

Really? (I had you down for saying that because...)

If these two can do it, anyone can do it...

That was nearly a hundred years ago!!
I concede it happened in the mid sixties on a tiny scale but nowadays?

The upshot though was that Chelsea stayed up and Henry Norris finessed Arsenal back into the top flight.
They've not left since.
Now consider your Kitsons, your Le Tissiers and your Grobbelaars. Money's money, Tony - 100 years ago as it is now. Fair play isn't an English thing and the Premiership isn't an English league - it's a global entertainment factory.
Rupert Murdoch bought the blag Hitler Diaries and when they were shown as forgeries, he said "after all, we're in the entertainment business". Honour doesn't come into it.

Was at Ajax over the weekend on a whistle-stop kids' football tour. Spectacularly, they have a leather-seated section for people who can pay through the nose. It's not much dearer than Arsenal's "pay this, you cunt" charges.
Did not see She...
FWIW, Ajax shit it on the last day of the season for a clear title win as well this year. Tour guide was sore but philosophical about it

Segers of course conceded that goal by Barry Horne that kept Everton up way back when. As a bit of an additional factoid, Barry Horne now teaches chemistry in Chester (my boy played against his school team - unsurprisingly, he's coaching them - a couple of weeks back) and started out at Hawarden Rangers, opposition for Prestatyn in R2 of the Welsh Cup on Saturday
