she wears pink knickers.a tale from the bus stop.true,really.
as i've said ,i wait at my homebound bus stop in the morning for about 30 minutes, and,i see comings and goings.joggers,dog-walkers,bikers etc.
well,there's a young woman who walks by,not unattractive,early twenties,medium build.the words "wouldn't say no"spring to mind.
one morning i looked up as she walked by,her small top, riding above the waistband of her jeans, giving a brief glimpse of flesh, and pink knickers.
well,anyway;
one morning,i just happened to look up as she got to the bus stop shelter.our eyes met.she smiled, said "hello",
and whoosh! she was gone.
"wtf? run that by me again please." i thought to myself.as she vanished into the darkness.
ever since then, she walks past the bust stop, chin up,eyes facing forwards, and straight by.
okay,it's cool,until last thursday morning.
i was running a bit late.
as i turned into the road where my bus stop is,she was walking on the other side of the road.when we drew level,i looked over at her, then carried on walking.
i walked a few yards further, and turned to look back at her,and she was looking back at me .
this happened three times,us both looking back at each other.
then i turned and walked face first into a tree.
shit!fuck!bollux!
i head-butted the fuckin thing.
i can still taste the slimey wet bark.
ANYWAY:
look!
loooooook!
here's my problem;
she'll know,that i know,that she knows,that i was looking at here.
she will also know, that I know, that she was looking at me.
i can't wait for tuesday morning
"it's nothing" i hear you say.
this has happened a few times now.
a woman walks by,smiles and says hello,i blank them, and whoosh! gone.
and i never see them again.
this one obviously wasn't troubled by the fact that i didn't respond to the "smile, hello, whoosh! gone."routine.
but this looking at each other.
it wasn't a case of scruffy old bugger looking at her, watching her,in the dark.
she must have known i wasn't a threat, and was merely on my way to the bus stop.
so wtf is it all about?
no i haven't pulled,of course not.
but somehow, for whatever reason,i have affected the life of another person,i hate that.
and she,intentionally or not,has affected mine.and i resent that.
all you young women out there;
if there's a stranger,
(and they don't come much stranger than me)
that you're dying to say hello to,
think of a question to ask,
like,
have you got the time please?
or,
when's the next bus?
whatever.
give him time to draw breath ffs.
don't just say hello and run eh?
and if, as in my case,it's just that old geezer at the bus stop who you see every morning, just leave the fuck alone.
he really doesn't need that shit.
i've had 3 women say hello and run,
i've blanked them,
as is my wont
and never seen them again.
so there are women out there, women who don't know me,thinking what about me?
ps,
i lied about the tree
there was no tree
okay?
the rest,
was real.
my life,my world,erix.

should I have started a converstaion?
am I the female equivalent of eric?

mg,
it's different for you.
if a woman paused for a second and said hello,
gave a bloke time to draw breath,
you're right,
i probably would reciprocate.
but it happens so fast.
maybe it's just a nervous reaction on their part.
but if they say hello,
and then they're avoiding me cos i didn't return the hello,
why?
am i some kind of weirdo cos i didn't have time to think.
i mean really mg,
it's not like expect to be greeted in that way by strangers.
male or female.
as i said,
it all happens so fast,
and unexpectedly,
and i'm struggling to stay awake at that time of the day.
