Might check them out, doing OU at the moment. Doing an essay about identity work & Blaenau Gwent, should have been in today. CBA to do it, so got a week's extension.

the bit I liked the most about part two, was the way it changed the way people looked at time etc , and the way the rural life was no bed of roses

Yes MG I did learn a huge amount , too much to waffle about , but it filled in so many gaps in my huge lack of understanding about UK history

yes.whether you lived in the city or the countryside it was nevertheless a hard life.but somehow living in the countryside where you where born gave you that support that you wouldnt necessarily have in the faceless city.
watching jack the ripper earlier, i said to my daughter, even though london was the richest city the slums were more like a third world country now.
