I'll give you a sample in terms of how much more "from this country" they are.

It is quite spectacular the naked hatred for a side who are 20 years away from their last title and I'd guess at least twenty years from their next. Also an individual who retired twenty years ago.

I saw a fair bit of football in the 80s. I don't recall such concern at the time for Tom Finney and PNE.
