The Economist Intelligence Unit survey ranks cities based on 30 factors such as healthcare, culture and environment, and education and personal safety.

These indexes generally come out with reasonably affordable cities in developed but not twattish nations - look at the top ten. It reads like the British emigrants charter, along with Austria, where barring a bit of a chequered history over a century back, it has quietly got on with it, and Finland, essentially the same.

London will be in the bottom half because it's expensive and policed by cunts.

Jon Copestake, editor of the report, said in a statement: "Mid-sized cities in developed countries with relatively low population densities tend to score well by having all the cultural and infrastructural benefits on offer with fewer problems related to crime or congestion."
