retrospection,introspection,looking back,looking inwards,self-examination:it's a bitch.

riding back home this morning from a trip to my hometown.
up on the top deck of a bus looking out;
clear blue sky,bright sunshine,
looking out over fields,remembering,
when i walked those fields as a kid,the smell of the hedgerows,the elderberry bushes ( such a strong pungent smell,and the spongie bark,the memory,the experience,will stay with me for ever.don't know why ) and the earth beneath my feet,i miss that smell also.
getting dirty,grass-stained,ferreting,catching the occassional pheasant.
all that tinged with feelings of remorse,apology,and regret.if only,if only.

i hate feeling like this.

i didn't book an eye-test at boots.
and fuck morrisons for not stocking the g/f bread that i use.

so why do i feel so,,,,,,,,,,,,,
wistful?

i do try to be hopeful,
of tomorrow,
honest.
but,
oh i don't know.
