Class villains
An armed gang used a metal chain to ‘lock in’ the flying squad before carrying out an audacious raid.
The massive chain was strung across the main car park gates of the police station in Fleurs, eastern France, and then sealed using a coded lock.
The armed police reponse unit and their vehicles were left marooned in the car park as the raiders moved in on the electrical department of the town's Carrefour hypermarket and stripped it in just six minutes.
‘It was a frighteningly well-planned raid,’ said a source at the station, which has an alarm link to the store.
‘After locking in all our squad cars, they went on to steal thousands of pounds worth of computers, cameras and telephones.
‘Five hooded men got through steel security shutters and emptied the electrical department of all its stock in six minutes....Officers could not get to the scene in time, let alone give chase. The chain across the car park gates was impossible to move, meaning our armed response unit could not repond.’
The raid took place at around 2.30am yesterday morning.

Bit busy at the moment but will view later. As for the raid, pretty certain something similar was done a couple of decades back in the Netherlands. Surprised it hasn't been done more often

Having watched the video, what damned fool put the musical distraction on it? The clear star performance was of the pink dress, who (yes, I have anthropomorphised it) deserves to win a Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Stupendous work.
