My mother is a funny character
Generally speaking , up until now , I have not thought much about my mother , she is just there.
However.....
She is a season ticket holder at Swansea City , and has been watching them for nearly 60 years.
Anyway , it dawned on me today having mothers day lunch (also with my elderly Aunt) , that even though I have been on holiday with her (just her)(as a teen and as an adult)) , I am very much like her in many ways, yet I know almost nothing about her.
I don't like to fly , so I wondered today if a Baltic cruse may appeal to her (our last trip was New York) , she seemed ok with the idea. I am destined to be a 40 something man who holidays with his mother and elderly aunt.
Thats not necessarily bad I guess

I moved about a mile away from my Mother not long after my Dad died. I generally try to call in every other day to see if she needs anything, not sure I would want to take her on holiday though. She's as nutty as fruitcake, with extra nuts!

I shall have to deal with the death of my father (as we all do) over the next few years I think. He is late 70's with a collection of ailments.

Re: My mother is a funny character
I'm about 30 miles away from my mother but go see her once a week, i think its inevitable that she will at some point be coming here are be much closer at hand as she struggles nowadays. We are looking for a weekend break possibly Filey for easter when she will be coming along. We've also offered her to come along with us to the Sth of France but she doesnt like it too hot and refuses. We were thinking of getting her a coach trip with her sister for the week sometime late summer

I see mine 3-4 times a week.we used to have some happy times on family holidays but shes not bothered now, she has sort of given up.
so dont take it for granted kit that she will always be bothered.
