for offering commission-free markets on some high-profile football games to compensate for a recent "outage".

i didn't know that they'd had one.

anyway,
i attempted a reply,
don't know if anybody will see it,
and will probably laugh at it anyway.

but there's only one way to deal with an outage imo.

complete voiding of ALL INPLAY TRADES.

if i wasn't banned from their forums,
i'd probably get banned for banging on about it. Embarassed

but if you're an inplay trader,
especially a small one like me.
an outage can be catstrophic.

any thoughts on this?

how about you boat?

what's your view?

I agree entirely eric, however for them its business and their profit that comes first. I think it will happen time and time again and nothing will change as gambling is an addiction and they have us over a barrel Neutral

boat,
some time ago,
i managed to green-up in a football market.
left it there and happily moved on to the next one.

only to find,
at a later date,
that there was no mention of it in my a/c statement.

so,
i phoned them.

it turned out that the game had been abandoned.

i was told about this three day rule,
whereby if the game was replayed within three days,
all bets would stand,
if not,
all bets void.

okay i said,
i can dig that,
no worries. Smile

well,
in the case of an "outage".
haven't betfair,
in effect,
through no fault of their own maybe,
abandoned games? Neutral
