325 Ripon. What's the fucking beef there? Cheshire Oaks (recognised Oaks trial), Oaks (G1 classic), Lancashire Oaks (natural progression for lesser lights in Oaks)... what comes next?

Egg and spoon handicap (in equivalent terms) at Ripon. £20k race having missed Royal Ascot and avoided any possibilities today (there seem to be a lot of fillies'/mares' races about today).

No, much as I'd like to go for a mysogynistic spin, Eric, fillies are unfathomable.

I discarded no end of races today (and was right to do so) when I saw they were girls only. They just don't hold to form, IMO
