i had it at 16/1 when it pissed up,
at beverley?
it's first win?
then ran up a sequence.

looking through the h'cap form at the time.
it was well in.
well must've been cos it kept winning,
and the handicapper hammered it.

i backed her that day too
i think she won at southwell before that though
she was a lovely horse to ride...i rode 4 horses for brian rothwell, but queens consul was by far the best

easy to say now,
but on a line through "mca below the line",
it was streets ahead.

ah well, that was my (sort of) claim to fame anyway

did you do much work with race horses?

nope not long, my saddle slipped going up the gallops on capital lady and i couldnt stop her and we was heading towards a huge fence and there was no way i was gonna jump it....so i decided i wasnt gonna stay on any longer and went to swing my leg over...thats the last thing i can remember!

but tbf, she`d only raced the day before so was very hyper

riding a horse at that speed must be an amazing feeling she.
as I have said I rode the galloping donkeys at Cleethorpes several times

yeh its great...the faster the better (as long as they stop when you want them to though!) hehe
you can really feel the power

incase you`s are wondering....the other 2 horses i used to exercise for brian rothwell are...burringham boy and annie fay

i wish i knew how to find old vids of queens consul racing
