guilt and shame on the work-bus.

there's this old bloke.
about my age.
he's on the bus that i catch to work sometimes.

i know he likes a drink,
and is often 3 parts to the wind going home.

he always get's off at the next village.finedon.
only this time,he didn't.
could see him sitting there,
hunched up.
stirring occasionally.
pissed and snoozing?
in trouble maybe?
a health situation?
who knows?

well,by the time the bus hit my stop,
he'd overshot by about 6 miles,
and then maybe he hadn't.
maybe he WAS going to kettering.
i didn't know.
how could i?
life's dilemmas eh?

there was still another bus coming back so he wasn't going to be stranded.

i shoulda done something.
said something.
kicked his seat maybe.
but i'm joe public,
and jp doesn't get involved.
just hides behinds his grossword and leaves it to somebody else.

I went to Finedon once...........
































........It was shut.
