I just wanted to point out something I've noticed playing Holdem in the Casinos.

Let's say you make a decent bet on either the turn or the river. I've noticed some opponents look or point to your chips and say "how much do you have there" as if they are about to go all in. I always act unphased though and they end up folding shortly after they say that.

I guess they are trying to see your reaction to it? I've seen many people do this and 90% of the time they end up folding to your bet

To counter that, I always made sure my chips where in full-view so it's obvious to the talker how many I have. I make sure that I have built up a quiet image at the table by NEVER talking in the middle of a hand so it does not look suspicious when I ignore his question.

Any form of communication, even ignoring someone, is a tell of some sorts. It's part of the game's few subtleties at that level. You have to decide how you want to react to such things in advance and then cultivate that image prior to it happening.

Thus is my case, I raise, someone asks me how many I have, I simply sit back leaving my chips in full view and let him do the work.

The point is, they are like sharks, they know every fucking move in the book, often work together when there are internet noobs on the tables, and often take it in turns to win each week.
