As for the video, for those who remember the US schedule filler "Tour of Duty", they used this for the theme tune. They didn't use the same chilling (IMO) footage, mind.

While we're at it, apparently the biggest single of the 60s by a female soloist was a Bacharach song released by Cilla fucking Black

Here's a Bacharach song that knocks it out the park by a fucking long way, by someone who rather than being someone I abhor, is in fact someone I'd even tell Marianne Faithfull to fuck off to accommodate. Yes, Marianne, you may stab me to death for my insubordination. Worth it...

Had to put this up in light of hearing a quiz question about it earlier in the week, the announcement that Bowie is to release another album in January on his birthday and frankly, when you look back and then look forward again, how musically Bowie is a genius anyway but becomes a god in comparison to the latterday exponents.
