it's not fair. a christmas carrell.

a slack night with time to think
too much time.

mulling over things.
dwelling,wishing,rueing,and regretting.

seeing,feeling,careing,
consideration for others,
and conscience.
it's not fair.

my wife,
made a lovely christmas dinner last night,
because she's working sunday.
i told her not to serve one up for me.
i picked at the left-overs.
she didn't deserve that.
THAT wasn't fair

found myself thinking of stickie.
and yes,
i'd love to break the silence.
but there are so many "what ifs".
IT'S not fair.

sometimes,
i find myself wishing that i could meet somebody,
and maybe embark on a series of gratuitous liasons.
and then i read an article about what a miserable time christmas is for mitress',
the "other woman".
not to be pitied,
most wives would say.
but it made awful reading.
and now i feel guilty as hell for even thinking it.
and THAT'S not fair.

and now,
life looks bleak right ,
AGAIN.

and it's so "NOT FAIR".
