Which antibiotics, Tone? A lot of that is complete fallacy barring Flagyl (metronidazole) it's just to stop people getting twatted easily and catching another dose infection

There's no restriction on alcohol on penicillins - it was a fallacy designed to stop squaddies in the early years of antibiotics. You're not meant to overdo it as it fucks up the efficacy but it's not meant to stop you having a Gran Reserva with a bowl of shellfish.

The one thing that does worry me is the huge sodium content of each 1,000 mg tablet, a massive 437mg!!
I have left sided heart failure and have to take 40mg of Fuoresemide each day along with a low sodium/salt diet to stop water retention. I'm sure I should have been given capsules which don't have that high salt content as far as I'm aware.
Lastly, the 4,000mg of antibiotics he wanted me to take per day seemed absurdly high to me, more like the amount for pneumonia. I'm only taking 2,000 every 24 hours instead, which is still a lot.
