but it's not on my desktop or taskbar.
so like i said,
i've got IE,
but i haven't.

Just search for it. You have a search function on the start bar type in Internet Explorer and see were it is..you can click the icon and drag it onto your desktop as a shortcut eric....if you lived next door i'd do it for you.
