It took my brother 25 years to drink himself to death.
We tried so, so hard to help him but he was having none of it.
It's a death wish in a way.

My brother was in and out of them all the time.
Best he managed was three years with AA...we thought he'd cracked it....He fell off the wagon.

i don't imagine that it's easy.
especially if you live alone.

Alcohol is the hardest addiction to crack. Apparently the side effects of drying out can be horrendous

My poor brother used to hallucinate badly.
We had him sectioned twice.
