the dog-catcher,first impression.and saving the best 'til last.
light,
easy to digest,
and actually,
quite pointless.
a kind of,
"day in the life",
"fly on the wall",
experience.
of a mundane notion.
something that I might dream up.
well?
i might.
but it's not as simple as that is it.
it's the furnishing.
the "fleshing-out",
as my old english-tutor used to say.
not wishing to deride man or book,
both have a place,
"THEIR"place.
not an altogether unhappy,
or regretable experience so far,
certainly not "time wasted.
one particular critique in the intro,
spoke of a skill,
HIS skill,
of leaving an audience wanting more.
mmmmmmmmm,
don't know about that.
unfinshed perhaps.
and then,
maybe the ending,
is just,
very well timed.
what do i know?
i shall read on.
"descending"..................
could be the title of biography.
MY biography.
perhaps.
onwards and downwards.
tally'ho.

My wife read it in 1971 when she was 22 and gave up half way through....said it was a load of bollocks.

Women have no interest in porn Eric.
That book sold because the thick cunts out there were told it was hip to buy it.
Nobody actually read the fucking trash.

it's funny you should say that.
i read a similar view last week,
about people buying,
and doing,
what they're being brain-washed to do.
it's happening in all walks of life.
food,
clothes,
everything.

Re: the dog-catcher,first impression.and saving the best 'til last.
well,
i'm over halfway now.
and this book is so,
alexei sayle.
i have never been a sayle fan,
and his writings so far,
haven't changed my perception of him.
how it ever got into print is beyond me.
it's jibberish.
manic,
chaotic,
and,
all at sea.
the ramblings of a lunatic.
each to one's own though eh?
pretty much in line with my carryings on,
in the toilet thread.
and no,
i don't flatter myself.
i SHALL read,
and then,
stow them both away.
i have always dreamt of having my very own library.
stocked in my in my own way.
these and various other representations,
would all do nicely,
as a foundation,
on wich to realise such a dream.
MY dream.

Comedy like art is subjective. Sometimes you have to get inside the person to try and understand what makes them tic

well,
i read that as though my life depended on it,
hardly taking in a word.
i was in such a hurry to get through it.
what a fuckin wierd ending.
i shall have to read it again,
at a more leisurely pace when i have the time.
and the strangest thing,
a flight boarding-pass fell out from between the last few pages as i was reading it.
nobster,
you really,
might just,
be right about the sayle dude.
happy daze.
