Good Friday is fucking awesome

The only superstition I really allow myself now is that I refuse meat for the day.
By making the effort I've had smoked salmon and cream cheese and wound up tonight with the choice of some really posh fishcakes, salmon side doen with mustard and chilli noodles accompanying, or fish, chips and mushy peas.
I doubled up with salmon in the end. Also threw together a couple of home-made pizzas with the kids. And now I'm going to have a hot cross bun and maybe a bit of cheese after washed down by a Poacher's Choice

I missed out the shell-on prawns yesterday too, but I didn't defrost so they were a non-starter. Handy freezer item, though

Made a fish pie yesterday with a nice bit of haddock I had put aside. It has improved for the overnight as well. Good Friday is A1, I'm glad I make myself do something.

Cannot describe the piece of ribeye I did last night. It was like walking into a room, being given a suitacase full of cash and Jonesy and She were... (finish that off yourself, I know I did)
