we actually bumped into each other one day last week.
there's this tall hedge that rounds a corner of the junction that we both use.
(we couldn't have seen it coming)
I walk on the other side of the road now.
but anyway,
suddenly there she was.
I was filled with terror.
half turned,
and almost fled.
but I couldn't do it.
so we stared into each others eyes for what seemed like an eternity as we got closer.
about two seconds actually.
and then we passed each other without uttering a word.
and that was it.
gone.
I really would like to have known her.
but then,
maybe it's better that I didn't.
