ISS
The ISS is passing over and visible several times each evening this week (clear skies permitting)

Click on "observation" and put your town name in. It always seems to me to be spectacularly quiet when it passes over, all of us just specks in an incomprehensible infinity. I never tire of it.

It's amazing, isn't it, Tone? Cloudy and drizzle here so we're likely to be fucked for the night, the 11.56 one was for sure as I was getting water from outside (bottled in the garage, not stand pipe in the road)

Re: ISS
Very clear night here in Clacton ....sky full of stars and we have the added bonus of no light pollution where we are.
Even the wife enjoyed it.....and nothing gets her excited.

Re: ISS
The kids stayed up for the post-midnight pass yesterday and the 02.19 pass was just me on my own stood in the middle of the road tracking it the full length. We are unfortunately well light-polluted but it's amazing. For six minutes or so the rest of the world just melted away.

And half an hour or so on, there'll be people having the same conversation in East Timor

Re: ISS
First clear night in a week, just watched the 10.15 pass which was surprisingly bright despite the lower magnitude as it wasn't vying with stars and so forth for visibility. Next one at 11.51, Cornwall "landfall" and straight overhead for Tony...

Re: ISS
Next one and after that, another long pass at 1:28am if still up, both of a pretty decent (-2.9, -2.8 ) magnitude

Re: ISS
Amazing pass, rising to the left of the moon, clear sky, progressively brighter and positively gleaming as it passed overhead, the full six and a half minutes or so, magical.

We're still getting around five a night if the sky's clear, Tone. No chance here tonight, sadly

Re: ISS
Thunder cleared up for us earlier, let me see the fair pass at 10.14. Brightest at 11.50 if it stays clear

Re: ISS
Excellent, Tone. Did see the later pass last night, pretty bright considering we has found ourselves some cloud to the SW and low level mist. Haven't had a chance to look tonight as I've been doing my own Crohn's orbits at twenty minute intervals, which fortunately has been a rarer event recently...

Good pass last night. A bit further south, it seems we're approaching the end of this spell of visibility

Down to one pass a night or less until Thursday and then a fallow spell. Last real view of any substantial magnitude is Tuesday at 22.07. Let's get on it, people, pray for clear skies

Stellar pass for Londoners at 11.11 tonight. Right overhead

Re: ISS
Good run ongoing for the south, Tone - 10.22 Friday and 11.10 Saturday look stellar too - the Saturday one the brighter and will wink out overhead (amusingly, near Ostend), which is less common and a fascinating sight. 10.21 on Sunday and 9.32 Monday mirrors the 11.11 one tonight too.
