Re: Equality for who?
Fuck it, I'd argue the toss. Did you know the Equality Act 2010 was passed in the shadow of the GE? I didn't, went hunting for it and found it was in.
She won't take on the established law. Just a point of forcing her to comply. Big hitter on ID cards and register as well

That equation doesn't compute with me...
It's like saying "I'd like to shag Jacqui Smith". Even her husband goes "Pass, wouldn't mind a wank over Theresa May though. Either one "

Re: Equality for who?
I can't honestly remember a Home Secretary I had time for. Amusingly, at the GE, in the lifetime of the last parliament there were four Home Secretaries.
Charles Clarke was first
United Kingdom general election, 2010: Norwich South
Liberal Democrat Simon Wright - 13,960
Labour Charles Clarke - 13,650
When he went on holiday, Hazel Blears was left in charge and became known as "the stupid woman Charles Clarke left in charge when he went on holiday". She never had the role of HS but her constant ability to fuck up in the last term should mean that her political career is essentially as it should be - listening to constituents and leaving us all alone.
Second cab off the rank was bumbling Dr John Reid, who seems to have been rehabilitated in the last few weeks. Why is that?
General Election 2010: Airdrie and Shotts
Labour Pamela Nash - 20,849
SNP Sophia Coyle - 8,441
Ah, because he isn't in parliament any more. Ever the inappropriate stupid bastard, he has spoken out about something or other in parliament since the GE. Really? STFU, you've got as much sway as I have now.
Third up, it gives me great pleasure to announce Jacqueline Jill Smith (yes, really)
United Kingdom general election, 2010: Redditch
Conservative Karen Lumley 19,138
Labour Jacqui Smith 13,317
That was the one we all waited up for. Now you're out, you can stop flipping your home, charging porn to the state and most importantly, go into the loft and release those 900,000 DNA samples the 17 European judges fucking told you to - they aren't yours to keep. 42 days detention without charge, criminalising the buyer to a higher degree rather than enforcing tighter border controls and stopping the trafficker, trying to put us all on a database (that sounds familiar...) that you simply couldn't trust her with through precedent alone, she was about as popular as finding you had a cancerous mole and it was in the shape of Matthew Wright's face. Amazing that 13,317 people voted for her.
Last up, Alan Johnson. An ex-postman who doesn't agree with Clause 4. There must be about three of you in the country and two have retired. A substitute after 75 minutes who didn't have time to have an impact save for saying "no, that's not true" to every whiff of controversy that came up. Wouldn't have fancies him having a full run at the job - would have taken the samples out of Jacqui's loft for himself for one.
I would look both ways up a one way street if I were him given the history. Theresa May as well.
Please note, I have only done the last parliament. That means I don't get to talk about the hoodwinking of Blunkett, Jack cunting Straw and Michael fucking twatting bastard cunting fucking arsehole twatting Howard to name but three.
