got this dog,
a black lab,
shut in the garden shed,
24-7.

i mean why do people do that?

that dog has pissed more brain cells than those two have got.

I don't see the point of having a dog if you're going to do that. They obviously aren't up to it and the dog can't be happy about the situation either.

I'd be tempted to cut it loose, take it for a long ride in the car and let off. Someone will call the RSPCA and hopefully they should get the dog a better owner.
