Both games fucked today by incompetence that unlike when Graham Poll did it, ultimately did have an effect on the results. Which means there is a team in the semis guaranteed who rightly or wrongly is a "what if..."

Agree bert in that it could have been different. I think the 3rd goal meant that they threw caution to the wind and the 4th killed the game. Hope they can now move on and build a new team with an English/British manager in time for EURO 2012.

I had the third as a symptom as well, though - an eye on the clock, the gaps appear more and more and they don't at 2-2.

We'll get 2018 now - it's a bargaining chip, no pun intended.
