British Airways chief executive Willie Walsh said he was pleased that the UK airspace was due to open, but it would take weeks to get back to normal levels of operation.

So a lengthy strike, say twelve days, has minimal effect to the point that he goes to the courts to prevent it. Then when one goes ahead apparently they are unaffected. Bit of ash, weeks of recovery. Doesn't add up.
