Very underated food.....the body loves them.
I have mine swimming in chilli vinegar and pepper.

Sounds nice. Never had them with chilli on.

Some scavengers have high amounts of mercury if you consume too many. Should be ok in moderation though

My mind has turned to mussels again. Paella on the cards at the weekend, I reckon.

my first husband used to get a jar of mussels and a loaf of bread.he would put a mussell on a slice of bread and dip it in the vinegar.

1 jar= 3/4 loaf Eating a huge bowl of mussels right now 485733
