It doesn't work if it's fundamentally incorrect and a bit short on actual wit - the badges are spectacularly shit, for example, and the slavery remarks and references to "nigras", well, I consider myself a pretty satirical soul but that's just an outlet for race hate.

I'd agree with all of that except for the bit highlighted. I don't think a fundamentalist would care and would join either way, thinking he's some modern day fucking crusader. And he would be mocked mercilessly while lauded in his own flock.
