it's finally been said but i doubt many people will take notice, there are more minor demos in london today but in six or eight months time there could be serious unrest, the middle classes and below will be knocked for six this year and effectively be put back 5-10 years in wealth terms and the recession will take a serious plunge

on the plus side, people not liking the cons or the dems should be thinking that their current policies will destroy their votes for a lifetime not just a couple or few parliaments

On the money, Abdul. The only question anyone ever asks is "but what is the impact on my house price?" while they're being buttfucked by everyone. You only have to look at mundane things and see the problem. In less than a decade, for example, corned beef has more than trebled in price. I haven't heard of cows suddenly becoming endangered as a species, so the only reason behind it has to be that the survivalists have been stockpiling... Rolling Eyes

and it's only spin, estate agents, building society and government/media mis-advertising that's keeping the house prices bumpng along the bottom, once the cuts start to take proper effect and rates start to rise, property prices will drop again and keep dropping

the average working person's salary is being knocked back in true value by years, unsecured borrowing to bridge the gap will be some people's only choice and others will do it because they don't want to be seen by their peers to be getting reatively 'poorer' so will borrow what they can to try to keep up

the jobs market is as good as it's going to be for years now

i can see no encouragement in the short term although every govt. throws money away in the short term when an election is due so there will be a small bonus within 3 yrs but we've already paid for the fucker

less prison spaces, less money to spend on the justice system, more crime being committed and more crims being given slaps on the wrist by voluntary working magistrates as that's what they're told to do, which will lead to more crime

where's the good news?

For thirty years the country has sold the fucking lot. We now have nothing left to sell. Government now only generates revenue through taxation - no railways, utilities, airlines left to either earn from or sell off. No wonder Royal Mail are permanently in dispute - it's like a 50p piece down the back of the couch.

They won't take on the Tescos or the Barclays of the world. The last shower of shit was the same, usually led by Harridan Harman. They've hit the bottom of the barrel and now they're tearing up the planking. The fucking cunts, I didn't want to sell any of my nationalised industry shares. When you think about it, in the 70s, no-one really gave a fuck about 33% starting rate tax and were happy knowing who operated the central rail system.

There's a massive shortfall in revenue from both of them now. Surely that revenue should come from VAT (the taxable disposable that is the difference between the old Income Tax and the current) and whatever taxation is derived from the piecemeal rail companies for two?

And if not, where has it fucking gone?

The good news is I'm sitting on the balcony and it's red hot...plus the wife just brought outa jug of sangria with orange, lemon, apple and ice in it and a huge bowl of olives.

at 11:00 there were about 30 demonstrators at the royal exchange and about 20 at Picadilly, not expected.

at 15:15 the combined number had risen to 100 and they were being monitored by police and marching from piccadilly to green park.

latest count is approx 400 and they are expected to march from piccadilly to piccadilly circus imminently.

don't know why and it's not made the news yet, maybe because it is peaceful atm
