Just had a clean out of the food cupboard and found these

2 x jars of curry paste (unopened)
1 x set of lasagne verdi pasta sheets (unopened)
1 x chocolate bar
1 x packet of raisins

All had to go in the bin.

Also i came by a tin of potatoes that bev bought about 7 years ago but is now four years out of date, however ive decided to keep them as a monument to bevs stupidity.

Go and have a look, there's bound to be summat that's out of date Very Happy

that the government is considering doing away with best by dates. Rolling Eyes
not happy about this.
apparently so much food is being thrown away each year because of b.b.e. dates.
well maybe stores shouldn't hold so much stock.
i think use by dates maybe, should be on all things.

2 x jars of curry paste (unopened) - Probably fine if dry, sealed and wet, slightly less probably fine
1 x set of lasagne verdi pasta sheets (unopened) Probably fine - dry goods
1 x chocolate bar Probably fine - sugar is a preservative
1 x packet of raisins Probably fine - dry goods in preservative coating
