Staggy I dont think its what he's done in the recording studio, but more so who he as influenced, probably the likes of Hendrix Paige Clapton etc.

Could sure the play blues and the blues have influenced many of the great rock guitarists

No not for me.
Have seen some of the best and worst bands in my time and not really into live music on tv.
The only bands i would really want to see now are Babyshambles (seen the libertines) and Dave gilmour solo.
My family are more into it than me and my brother was at the IOW and my wife is watching bon jovi tomorrow and robbie williams next week.

Saying that for some reason Barry mailllow is on in the background here.
