Talking about pre season training then and now he came up with this gem:

'But in my time as a player and manager the worst case I had was at West Ham when big John Hartson came back 36lb overweight and couldn't run.
'I told Frank (Lampard Snr) to take him to the Forest in a wet suit and get running. John ran 300 yards before having to sit down on a log. He couldn't keep up with Frank who was in his fifties. We had to send him to a specialist trainer in France.
