The horse is Cheltenham Festival winner Brindisi Breeze who escaped his paddock and collided with a huge lorry 5 weeks ago at the age of 6 and the jockey is Campbell Gillies who died the day before his 22nd birthday yesterday after an accident in a swimming pool while on holiday in Corfu.

Tragic, almost sure he'd have broken his neck diving into the pool, pretty common happening ..i recall a kid in Barnsley doing the same.

He has won me a few quid too, very good prospect who seemed to try very hard on all his mounts.

Mate of mine had Campbell ride for him a fair bit. Very enthusiastic kid at everything, compact rider, looked the part, good horseman and affable with it. A huge loss.

Hard to believe that, although I'm not that old (really) but my mate and I first met before he was born.
