Re: Luis Suarez
We could end up doing this all season, Tone, where after another suspension, he manages 26 games and 45 goals... and the support acts get a few too.

Re: Luis Suarez
I'd crawl naked over 200 yards of broken glass to watch him play.
I'd draw my curtains if any other Prem player was playing in my back yard.

Re: Luis Suarez
Because he had to miss the first 6 games through suspension this season he was priced up at a general 12/1 to be top scorer in the Prem Bert.
Now trading at 1/7
How much did I have on despite seeing the huge price?
Yes, nothing.

Re: Luis Suarez
Same here Tone, and after flagfall he touched 33s, I believe.
Hindsight is massive but this year there is no other defined scorer in the top flight IMO (Van Persie can fuck off, the Torres of the Netherlands). And for a bloke whose foil is Sturridge...

Re: Luis Suarez
Mourinho's Chelsea and Moyes's Everton spring to mind.
I think the first season Chelsea won the league under Mourinho, they won 9 games 1-0. Everton won 7 or 8 the same. At a routine 6/1 for the 1-0, you could farm them that season and would have landed at least one double.
The same goes for Suarez/Aguero first goal. I think as a double they've dropped twice in the last three weeks they both played. And in the third week, had Sakho's goal been taken as an own goal, they'd be 3/3.
You can almost set your watch by them

Re: Luis Suarez
Hasn't scored in the last hour.
Will be pronounced "shit" by the press tomorrow and "a flat track bully" as they try to ruin him the way they did with Robin Smith against spin bowling.

Re: Luis Suarez
They've scored 90 league goals this season
They still have five to play. City have 84 with 7 to play. It's fucking ridiculous

Re: Luis Suarez
Stats for the season so far
P 30, scored 30 - Luis Suarez
P 35, scored 28 - Norwich City, Crystal Palace
Palace have, however, conceded 41. Liverpool have conceded 44.
The last time Liverpool conceded more than 44 goals in a season? 1998/99. They managed it four times in five seasons after promotion in 1962 and in back-to-back seasons under Souness in 92/93 and 93/94.
Liverpool have scored 96 goals this season. Their top flight record before that historically was 92 when they won it for the first time in Bill Shankly's tenure in 1964.
Liverpool and Everton have both done the double over Manchester United this year. This has never happened before.

Re: Luis Suarez
Not the worst three quid he's ever spent.
He should behave like that off pitch as well - he's an affable family man by all accounts, happy for his kids to mix in an area where I would describe some of them (I am of that parish) as "feral". If he started going out on the piss, setting off fire extinguishers in pubs, assaulting DJs and stubbing fags out in kid's eyes, he'd be England captain and on BBC Question Time
