all those years ago.
the first girl that i had sex with said in passing,
in a tone of exasperation,
"you're neurotic".
i didn't even know what that meant.
way back then.
now i'm reading david weeks.

but,
as with ALL troubles of the mind,
how does a person deal with that shit?

all a person can do at my age is hope,
that,
death is painless,
death is soon,
and that it's swift.

the trouble is you see,
although you probably don't,
that the cure,
hurts just as much as the desease.
it's a no win situation.
