Re: Celebrity deaths always come in threes
Todd Bennett of course would, ironically, make a relay team. Fantastic athlete indoors who wasn't as good outdoors but was part of a relay team you'd always fancy in a shootout with Phil Brown on last leg.
His death aged me more than any of the others.

Ah, Phil Brown....the man that could run the 400 in a relay leg in 27 seconds, but never get inside a minute in a non relay.
Weird fuck.

Related to Don Quarrie. He could compete but couldn't run the clock.

We had a couple didn't we there? Mandela goes to the big screen, he dies. The BBC were going to do a 50 years on thing on the Great Train Robbery, Ronnie Biggs dies. I wrote to ITV and said "Any chance you can broadcast ASAP the Piers Morgan Story?"

In the historical column, Tone, what odds would you have given Dolores Hope outliving Bob's 100?

George Burns lived for 48 days after his 100th birthday.
Bob Hope lived for 59 days after his 100th birthday.

Dolores Hope got an extra couple of years in. Henry Kissinger is still kicking, I've just seen. Which proves that there are some that even Satan won't fucking take.

Namdar refereed matches in the Football Tournaments at the 1972 ( USSR - Burma 1:0 and German Democratic Republic - Mexico 7:0 ) and 1976 Olympic Games ( France - Guatemala 4:1 ). [7][8]

He is the only manager in Honduran league history to win titles with 4 different sides.[4]
Mustapha Zitouni (19 October 1928 – 5 January 2014)[1] was a professional footballer. He played international football for both France and Algeria.
Career
Born in Algiers, French Algeria, Zitouni played at the club level in France as a defender for Stade Français, AS Cannes and AS Monaco. He left his professional career in France in 1958 to represent the unofficial Algerian national side, which was then run by the National Liberation Front, a rebel group campaigning for Algerian independence.[2] He had previously represented the French national side.[3]
