i think all staff got 20 euro, cant remember....i was asked to stay at work for extra pay but was just too tired and had a long cycle home so left at midnight

By all accounts a cracking bloke, would pick up hitchhikers and invite random sightseeing visitors in for a bit of a gab at Warren Place despite his being the most successful trainer of the last century.

Never looked at ease in front of the camera but at the same time would never duck an interview. Racing lost one of the very best today.
