I have fallen in love with a 92 year old woman with dementia

At least that's what she is now but just look at Sheila Sim in 1944 when she was 22.



        

Women today just don't look like this.

Tony, lots of women today will be lucky to reach 72 never mind 92. But Dementia is such a cruel illness

Her and her 91 year old husband Richard Attenborough are in the same nursing home together.
  

James Callaghan was like that. Look it up. He might have been the only person ever to have held the four great offices of state (PM, Home, Foreign, Chancellor) but he should be remembered for his devotion to Audrey for over 70 years, and the last days are especially poignant

Someone else, surely? Jim Callaghan always struck me as a quiet bloke and his wife was even less in the public eye (compare her to Cherie Blair...). I doubt his family would have let it happen (and Baroness Jay would have wanted paying, the ex-BBC witch)

He died less than a fortnight after she did, and he never missed visiting her daily even when she were in a nursing home and he was 90+.
