Re: World Cup Betting Thread
Scolari got that exactly right
"This lot have a midfield with men to spare. What I think I'll do is given them the entire width of the pitch to play and watch them pass and move us to death."
Well done, Phil, dead on. Fucking blitzkreig.

Taken from Betfair Forum:

Backed under 4.5 goals at 1.09 for 1.5k job done.

His real bet was probably £15 but still very funny.

I think that Brazil are good value - despite them being without Neymar (who was ordinary, imo).

Fantastic stuff, Tony.
Well done.

Re: World Cup Betting Thread
Not being wise after the event, (because you know i said it beforehand)... but Brazil were falling over the line against their previous (poor) opponents and looked awful to me, they were getting all the breaks, very lucky in fact, whereas Germany are a ruthless and efficient machine with great strength on the bench too. The price I got last night took my breath away. They actually drifted before kick off and I'm annoyed I didn't have a top up.
I've backed the Argies to win the whole thing pre tournament at 5.5 but I am now backing the Germans for a stake back job...can't see them not winning it to be honest.

Any action on tonight's match, Tony
I reckon that the Argie Bargies will go through.

They've been roundly shit, IMO. Mind you, the Dutch persevere with Van Persie when I don't think he's worth a place and particularly over Huntelaar.

Four hours without a goal. The Dutch have only themselves to blame. Mind you, Argentina only managed two in the last five and a half hours.

That's still the villainous Hun for me. Spain won it because of their middle, as did France (Spain with the "false no.9", France with Stephane Guivarc'h, the no. 9 who was false) and I'd put the VH middle up against anyone's.
Curse lifted. My recent history involves finding every losing finalist going (last two WCs [France, Netherlands] and Euros [Germany, Italy] for certain and three of them at double figure prices). 10 years is enough, IMO
Worthy goal to win it as well. Gary Barlow took that well.
