a case in point being stickie,
with whom i am finally,
after god knows how many years,
am on speaking terms.

the way she marches up the hill with those dogs,
upper body bent slightly forward,
everthing about her shouts gloom.

you wouldn't give her a second glance.

but,
she has a smile that is an absolute joy.
her elecution is very good.
and she doesn't come over as being an "air-head".
there has to be a "meeting of minds" imo.
age comes into it also.
and,
we are all different.
with different wants,needs,and desires etc.

what you're asking is one of life's imponderables.
that's why we shouldn't take rejection so badly.
but we're only human beings.
and we're very fragile.
life,and love,hurts like hell.
