I've got the biscuits, bit of soft cheese, some vintage mature Cheddar, can't be bad.

I see the merit in cottage cheese, Snake, but it's a different mindset to go on a cottage cheese bender than it is to push yourself to the limits of, say, chutney with a bit of crumbly Cheshire to the point that you can feel the mind-expanding properties and see the hues of the wind.

Good strong Cheddar, Danish Blue & some Austrian smoked with a selection of savoury biscuits smothered in butter is the perfect compliment to any meal. And ideal as a tasty snack, anytime of the day.

Cheese rocks.

I got forced to eat cheese at nursery, it's had a lasting effect. Will only eat melted cheese to this day. If I've had a drink I can manage a bit of brie.

It should also be pointed out that good cheese = good pizza.

I'm a big fan of Dr Ottaker's Mozarella extravaganza. Beats Goodfellas and the rest into a cocked hat, though a name rebranding to something more Sicilian and rather less Teutonic might help its image.

Damn right, I've been scarred for life.

And an essental experience destroyed by overzealous cheesemongery. I could spit, I really could. I was allowed to discover cheese organically, never really partaking until my teens - yes, my teens. I have never looked back.
