Bet you learnt it from his book (Roland Rivron once did a sketch on it with the likes or Mark King and Jimmy Page doing the McTell book and having McTell in the dock)

I wish I had a pound for every time I was told my singing voice was identical to his in the 70's and 80's.......I'd have a fortune...honestly!

yes, I wondered what you were on about.
I read it as part of a uni module. strange how some parts of London we think of as posh, were crime ridden slums.
